Juneau, baby!!

Our first day at port--Juneau.

We're planning a whale watching, Mendenhall Glacier photo safari!

Here's a card I made using the Darling Label Punch Box and.......

the ever familiar, totally loved Polka Dot Tulle ribbon. :D

Darling Label Punch Box, www.dazzledbystamping.com

I used the colors that come in the box--Night of Navy and Grapefruit Grove.

And I used the stamp as the focal point AND the background.

Darling Label Punch Box, www.dazzledbystamping.com

So I used LESS ribbon, I tucked the ends under the punched image.

No tying.

Have a wonderful day!

This was fun! :D

Between this card and the ones we made in club this month, I went through a WHOLE PACK OF METALLIC PEARLS!!!

I made it through the last club with 1 to spare!

241 pieces gone! ;)

(Of course, SOME of them MAY have ended up on my floor since they slid off the packaging so easily. :/ )

And btw, I didn't just randomly decide where to put these metallic pearls.

You know how the thinlits have poke holes in them to get the cut piece out?

Do you also remember they leave little impressions behind?

Well, I just used those spots to place my pearls!

Ok details here:

Big Shot
$110.00

Have a fabulous day!!

Little Elephant bundle, Timeless Textures, www.dazzledbystamping.com

I chose these colors straight from the pack of Glitter Enamel Dots! :D

Rooted in Nature sunset

Good morning stampers!!

11 days until we ship off to ALASKA!!!!

So excited!!!

I'm not really sure when it's gonna seem like a reality. :)

Ok, I realized I forgot to show you pics from a couple cards we made at my clubs last month.

A lot of sponging and the Stamparatus...

Rooted in Nature, www.dazzledbystamping.com
top to bottom: Highland Heather, Pool Party, Granny Apple Green

Rooted in Nature, www.dazzledbystamping.com
top to bottom: Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, Mango Melody

This type of card always makes me happy.

And I love the font.

The sponged section is popped with Dimensionals.

I wanted the trunk of the tree extended.

So originally, I had stamped it twice--once on the white base, once on the sponged stitched square.

THEN (I think it was) Angela stamped them BOTH at the same time on top of each other!!

Saves a step!!

And all you have to do is mount the sponged square a little lower than where you stamped it! (simply to cover the gap left behind from stamping 2 different layers at the same time.)

Why didn't I think of that???

I love time-saving tips!!

Here's all I used:

Product List

Stamparatus
$49.00
Big Shot
$110.00

Have a fabulous week!!

Easy Easel Card!

Have you seen an easel card before?

Here's one!

Easel Card with Animal Outing, www.dazzledbystamping.com

Easel Card with Animal Outing, www.dazzledbystamping.com

It was easy to make!

I'll tell you how in a sec.

But can we talk about how beautiful this Soft Sea Foam color is???

I love it.

And yes.

I used the Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon.

Again.

And yes.

I colored.

Stampin' Blends.

Smoky Slate combo + Color Lifter.

Stampin' Blends make me look like I can color.

I like.

And yes.

I'm somewhat falling in love with this rhino.

Somewhat.

Ok--back to the easel card.

You can make them any size you'd like.

You need:

  1. a full card, scored in half WITH the top half scored in half, too
  2. an additional piece of cardstock, the size of the card front
  3. some part of your design popped on the inside of the card base to prop the easel

I used:

  1. a piece of cardstock 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4" (but you could make a 4" square card with a 4" x 8" pc, scored at 4" and 2"...or any number of possibilities)
  2. my additional pc was 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (the second example would be a 4" x 4" pc)
  3. Tailored Tag Punch piece popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals (you could also just use an embellishment to prop it for display)

If you can't tell in my second pic, the second score line is creased toward the INSIDE of the card.

I used Tear & Tape on the front of the tucked in section.

The BOTTOM of the card front is attached to the Tear & Tape.

When it's NOT propped up, the card just looks like a normal card.

The card front is completely designed.

Here's the complete list of products I used:
