MORE Color Info!

Happy Friday/Happy Weekend, people!!

I have a few things to share with you.

First, this is my last make-n-take from OnStage Milwaukee:

Rooted in Nature bundle, www.dazzledbystamping.com

It features many new products included in the Nature's Poem Suite in the new catalog--embellishments, bakers twine, DSP, and stamps.

I fell in love with it, and we WILL be having a product based class closer to fall. :D

Oh--and this stamp set was one of the items I got to pick from the box of all our supplies on the table before we left OnStage!

I was SO EXCITED!!!

Ok, NOW I have some New Color Resources for you.

I was VERY PUMPED to find out at OnStage that Stampin' Up! has Color Coach documents available for us!!

It will NOT be in the new catalog.

But here they are if you would like to print them yourself.

I also added a Color Revamp page that will house all these resources for easy reference in the future.

(I'm sure I'll be adding to it from past posts as well.)

Ok, one last thing for you...

As you know, I'm having my Moms, Dads, Grads, Brides & Babies Stamp-a-Stack this week Thursday, April 26.

We'll be making a stack of cards--3 each of 5 designs with envelopes:

  • Mother's Day--or at least a feminine design
  • Father's Day--or at least a masculine design
  • Graduation
  • Wedding or anniversary
  • Baby

The class fee is $30 or free if you place a $50 order that night (or I'll add a valid hostess code you can use within a month of the class.)

Well, I added a 10am class that day.

So--I'm opening both the evening and morning classes back up for this weekend.

If you wanna sign up (or even switch to the morning class), do it by this weekend please!

RSVP NOW:        10am class, 4/26

7pm class, 4/26

Have a fabulously wonderful--and hopefully warm weekend!!

2 Questions Answered!--Color Revamp

I'm excited about our upcoming Color Revamp!

And I received the new In Colors with my preorder yesterday!

I've had a couple questions that I didn't know how to answer yet, AND NOW I HAVE ANSWERS!!

I also have a few visuals/comparisons for you!

Question #1: Will the new formulation of ink refills work in my old style ink pads?

Short answer: Yes! (The new refills are perfectly safe/compatible to use in your old pads.)

Exceptions:

  1. Basic Gray (Archival) is going back to a non-permanent, Classic water-based die ink; it will no longer be Archival quality. (Newly formulated ink will bleed if trying to use with a colorbook/watercoloring technique.) So if your pad says Archival? And you want that capability? Make sure you have a Basic Gray ink refill on hand or order it NOW.
  2. Basic Black (Archival) ink is being completely retired. If you love THIS ink? Again, make sure you have your refills. In the next catalog, our black options will only be Jet Black StazOn (yes, it's coming back!) and Tuxedo Black Memento.
  3. REMEMBER THIS WARNING:

StazOn + Photopolymer = clean immediately!

If you love that StazOn is coming back, YAY!! Me too!! BUT WHEN USING STAZON WITH PHOTOPOLYMER STAMPS, YOU MUST CLEAN THEM RIGHT AWAY, OR YOU TAKE THE RISK OF DAMAGING THE STAMPS! I completely ruined a stamp set before I realized the risk. My words chipped off. StazOn is solvent based, so it is quick drying. That can potentially make the photopolymer stamps brittle and break.

While we're talking colors, I thought I'd put an easy, clickable visual of the rest of the colors retiring. You can click to order online immediately:

Here's a reminder of your retiring products availability/deadlines:

Color Availability chart

Question #2: Will the new style ink pads fit in my Color Caddy that I already have?

Short answer: Yes!

BUT just not as tightly as the current/old ink pad style. If you store the updated pads in your caddy, you’ll want to be careful when rotating the caddy and not turn it too fast.

Here's the fit/difference in pads in the caddy:

Pad redesign--how they fit in the [old] caddy, www.dazzledbystamping.com
[Old] Caddy fit: top 2 old vs bottom new

I thought I'd also show you more differences/features:

How they stack:

Pad redesign--stackable, www.dazzledbystamping.com
stackable: old vs new

How they look:

Pad redesign--larger color label, www.dazzledbystamping.com
Larger color label: old vs new

How they look--bottom & inside:

Pad redesign--stackable + inside label, www.dazzledbystamping.com

Pad redesign--inside label, www.dazzledbystamping.com

Just like probably most of you, I won't be replacing all my ink pads right away.

But I'm sure excited to get my hands on the brand new colors!!

If you have more questions about the Color Revamp or pad design--or ANYTHING ELSE, please let me know!

Btw, are YOU signed up to Craft the Night Away with me, Saturday, 5/5???

A Color Girl after my own heart...

Happy New Year!!!

Thank you so much to all my wonderful customers and Dazzling Demos Team for your support in a wonderful year!

You're amazing! And I appreciate all of you!!

We are on our way to pick up Liz right now! Yay!

She sent me a perfect pic I asked for months ago!

She's been doing some acrylic painting since she's been down at school.

When we moved her back down to school in August, I was just obsessed with her collection but never thought to take a pic!

UVVT8282[1]

Aaaaahhhh!!!!! I LOVE COLOR!!!!

And clearly--so does she!

Like how awesome is that collection???

Ok, before I go, here's the card she colored with my Stampin' Blends when she was home at Thanksgiving. :)

Floral Statements, created by Liz Flath, www.dazzledbystamping.com

I just gave it a simple card base.

Here's all we used:

Have a wonderful New Year!

Work of Art, www.dazzledbystamping.com

Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon and Tangelo Twist, along with Work of Art.

This was one of the cards we made a my demonstrator meeting Monday.

JUST a LITTLE designer paper

The Moonlight DSP Stack in our new catalog is FABULOUS!!!

(Speaking of the new catalog, my order from yesterday SHIPPED TODAY!!! WOO-HOO!!!!)

Of course, you know ONE of the reasons Moonlight is so fabulous is because it has Blackberry Bliss in it!! (How can you go wrong?!)

DSP can help me make quick and easy cards, but I don't always want to use it all up!

Here's a design that gives me a WHOLE LOT OF BANG for my buck:

Endless Birthday Wishes, Moonlight DSP Stack, www.dazzledbystamping.com

The DSP stacks work great for this type of design!

They are 4 1/2 x 6 1/2, which makes the 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 squares on my card perfect!

I could actually get 4 cards out of each sheet.

The other colors here (part of the DSP) are Sahara Sand and Hello Honey

I used the new photopolymer set Endless Birthday Wishes, too.

Before I go, don't forget today is Tuesday!

New Weekly Deals include a whole lot of METAL! ;)

Click HERE to RSVP for my New Catalog Open House.

Have a great day!! Lovin' the breeze today!!

Endless Birthday Wishes, ALL the new In Colors, www.dazzledbystamping.com

We can order from the new catalog today!!!

I'm so excited!!!!!

I have quite the wish list--AND I have FREEBIES coming, too!!

Here's a lil somethin'

Something for Baby!

How cute is this set with these colors?!?!

Something for Baby, Work of Art, Itty Bitty Banners, www.dazzledbystamping.com

We have Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Basic Gray and Whisper White.

I used the Chevron stamp from the new Work of Art set and Whisper White craft pad for the background on Basic Gray.

Perfect.

Hope you're enjoying the new catalog like I am!

Oh! There's another sample I snuck in on facebook--my business page: www.facebook.com/DazzledByStamping

By the way, I REALLY don't mean to SNEAK it. It just seems like fb never seems to do things quite the way I'd like it to--or think it will.....

Click on Events (toward the top) and check out the photo I added to the Open House Event.

Have a great weekend--and a fabulous Mother's Day!!

If you're not celebrating with your mom or your kids, I wish you wonderful memories of past times you've spent with them.

Color IS Inspiration!!

I had a lil play date last night my new product.

And I'M SO HAPPY!!!!!

I don't know about YOU, but often when I sit down to create--

...on my own

...no CASEing (Copy And Share Everything)

I STRUGGLE.

I sit there.

And sit there.

NOT LAST NIGHT!!!!!!!!

Wow!! I LOVE our new In Colors!!!

They were so fun to work with, and I was so excited and inspired by them, I made 3 cards pretty quickly! (YES. Start to finish.)

Any guesses on which color is my favorite? (playful sarcasm)

BLACKBERRY BLISS ROCKS!!!!

It's like Rich Razzleberry on steroids!!!!

Well, it just so happens that another item I could preorder is the Moonlight DSP stack that includes Basic Gray, BLACKBERRY BLISS, Hello Honey, Lost Lagoon, Sahara Sand and Whisper White.

It's one of the 4 1/2" x 6 1/2" stacks of designer paper.

JACKPOT!!!!

I'M.IN.LOVE.

Work of Art, Moonlight DSP Stack, www.dazzledbystamping.com

Unfortunately, even on this beautiful sunny day, my picture does NOT do this card justice.

I really love the new Stitched Satin ribbon, too!

Unlike the retiring stitched satin, this is monochromatic.

The stitching isn't white, but rather the same color.

It's gorgeous and easy to work with.

So I have more to share, but I'm not giving it to you all at once.

Sorry!

I can't play ALL DAY, so I need something for tomorrow, too.

I hope you're enjoying your new catalogs, too! Tell me what you like!!

I'm off to tell you about classes.

See you again tomorrow!

Sharing with EVERYONE!!

Courtney, Carol, Julie and I had a fabulous time stamping and drooling over the catalog last night!

(Thanks for coming, girls!!)

NOW, I can share with EVERYONE!!

Here is the stamp set everyone received at the Catalog Premiere Monday:

Work of Art, available to order 6/2/14, www.dazzledbystamping.com

It definitely would have been on my wish list! But I HAVE it!!

It's available in wood and clear-mount.

Here's the card we made with it last night:

Work of Art, Gorgeous Grunge, www.dazzledbystamping.com

I LOVE IT!!

To me, it's kind of a combination of Happy Watercolor (you know--the swish!! from the Occasions Catalog--which is NOT in the new catalog, by the way) and Gorgeous Grunge (which we did use as a splatter here, too.)

Can you go wrong with those 2?!

We used Tempting Turquoise, Pear Pizzazz, and Rich Razzleberry--probably one of my favorite color combos from the Color Coach.

Color Coach, card for Pear Pizzazz, www.dazzledbystamping.comI LOVE the Color Coach for helping me work with colors!

Have you seen it?

Each color has a card; the BACK of the card is where the MAGIC happens.

There are 2 possible color combos suggested for each color.

If I'm in the mood for a specific color, I start with the card for that color.

After that, I look through ALL the cards for possibilities that include my color.

If I'm completely looking for inspiration, I browse the backs for something that strikes me. Love that tool.

Ok, so I have a couple other notes to mention about the new catalog:

  1. If you didn't notice, all alphabet in the current catalog is retiring. That's because NOW all alphabet sets will be only available in Photopolymer....perfect for see-through positioning!
  2. Some of the other sets are also only available in Photopolymer. One of my favorites is part of that list. Put a bookmark in your mind....What's Your Type? The possibilities are AMAZING!! You'll have to check it out.
  3. I didn't realize...there was a desire to have a KRAFT cardstock. Not Crumb Cake, but truly Kraft. Now it'shere. Kraft cardstock. It's thicker than our normal cardstock. Perfect for boxes and packaging. Carol and Courtney say they were consulted on this; so you may thank THEM. ;)

Ok, I gotta go.

If you can believe it, I STILL haven't written my wish list yet!!

I've gone through it once and have been busy ever since! And the first time through is only for absorption.... :)

I'll see what I can do today.

Have a great weekend!
